“EDIT TO ORIGINAL ORDER SENT” USE INDEFINITELY (only for orders CURRENTLY in lab)
Grand morning to all,
Let’s briefly revisit editing orders and resubmitting to the lab.
Upon resubmitting an edit for an order to the lab it is imperative that before you resubmit you select “EDIT TO ORIGINAL ORDER SENT”.
1)This creates an alert to the lab that an order is CURRENTLY in process at the lab and requires an update from the edit submitted.
2) If you DO NOT select “EDIT TO ORIGINAL ORDER SENT” there is no alert to the lab that there is an edit to an order already in process. Therefore we wrongfully run an additional set of lenses.
3)This can become costly and makes the lab run inefficiently.
Lastly let’s reconfirm that “EDIT TO ORIGINAL ORDER SENT” is only for orders PRESENTLY in the lab. It is not used for orders that have already been shipped to the store. It is also not used for remakes of orders. The selection only applies to orders that the lab is CURRENTLY manufacturing hence the hyphenation of the word TODAY.
This small detail will definitely reduce the number of unnecessary duplicated orders and will allow us to expedite live work.
Thank you for all your hard work!
Highest regards,
Lab Folk
